Health Care Facility Performances

Each year, the Pelham Music Festival offers its students the opportunity to perform at one or more community service concerts at health care facilities for older adults or critically ill patients. These concerts are arranged to take place just before the festival in January. By performing in these concerts, the students gain an opportunity to share their musical gifts with a highly appreciative audience and also get a “trial run” of their performance before the actual festival date. In addition, the kids are able to watch other student performers who they may not otherwise see the day of the festival, since all age groups and abilities are mixed at these concerts.

Participation is completely optional, but really serves to enhance the overall experience of the festival. Pianos are provided at each location, as are music stands for solo performers. If your ensemble is planning on playing at one of these concerts, please let us know how many music stands are needed in advance if you are not bringing your own. Parents are responsible for transportation.
